Chat

Are there any chat and etiquette rules?
Yes. We ask that all players behave as good poker citizens and treat everyone with respect. We do not allow profane, vulgar, jingoist, nor abusive/insulting chat in our chat windows, and will filter certain words. If a word is filtered, it is not acceptable on our site. We appreciate restraint in using creative variations of the censored words. All players on the 'Grid are here by our invitation. We reserved the right to close a customer's account at any time.

How do I talk to other players?
The game chat is located at the top right corner of the game screen. Just click on the text entry field, type your message, and hit enter. When you are at a table, the chat allows you to talk to players at your table, and to anyone currently watching the game.

Can I use language other than English when chatting at the table?
Any language is welcome on tables with free chips. On money play tables the rule is strictly English only.

How can I mute another player's chat?
If you don't wish to see chat, click on the "Players" and/or "Observers" light on the chat window frame to turn off chat from your opponents or people watching the game.

What should I do if someone is abusing the chat feature?
Contact to report the player, or simply type the word, "abuse" into the chat; all cases of abuse are investigated by GamesGrid staff.

Can I customize my chat preferences?
Yes, you can choose.

• Everyone — light up dealer, players and observers
• Players — turn on/off
• Observers — turn on/off
• Dealer — there are 3 options
• • Yellow light — game, winner, winner hand and amount
  • Green light — playing actions done by each player
  • No light — no dealer messages of any kind

I can't see the chat at the table, how can I fix this?
Make sure the chat options lights are on.
