Game Customization

How do I customize my backgammon board?

The colors and textures of all backgammon board regions, checkers, and dice may be customized to your personal preferences. Select Options/Backgammon Board from the main menus. Select each area whose properties you wish to change, and choose colors and textures to please your eye. When you like the effect, depress the

button to preview the changes. Remember to save the style as a named board style.

There is a tutorial that shows how to do it, and the Equipment Room contains some attractive prefabricated board styles that you can install.

I see a strange text font. How do I change it?

The fonts for many window panes can be changed. Select Options/General from the main menus. Select the window pane you want to change and select a new font. Depress the

button to apply the changes.

How do I make my dice larger (or smaller)?

This is one of the many options available. Select

Options/Backgammon Board/Play Options

from the main menus. Use the slider control on the lower left to set the size of your dice as a proportion of the size of your checkers, from approximately 15% to 150%. (The size of your checkers is determined by the size of your backgammon board window.)

You must exit from the backgammon board for the changes to take effect.

Can I play clockwise?

You can play only counterclockwise at present. Your home board is always to the right.
