Server Status
This page will surface the live operational state of the GamesGrid platform once the relaunch is live: real-time server status, scheduled maintenance windows, recent incident reports, and historical uptime statistics. While the platform is pre-launch, this page documents the operational principles the live system will be run under.
For the launch announcement itself, join the invitation list at the foot of any page — including this one.
Operational Principles
The original GamesGrid (1996–2008) was, for most of its operational life, a high-availability platform — players in different time zones expected to log in and find a working server at any hour. The 2026 platform is being engineered for the same expectation. The operational principles:
- Public uptime reporting. Live operational state is visible on this page in real time. Historical uptime is reported monthly. There is no hidden incident data.
- Scheduled maintenance announced in advance. Maintenance windows that will take the platform offline are announced at least 48 hours in advance, with the planned window clearly stated.
- Incident transparency. Any unplanned outage longer than 15 minutes is logged with a public post-incident report — what happened, when, what was affected, what was done to restore service, and what is being done to prevent recurrence.
- Match integrity during outages. Matches that are interrupted by server-side issues are preserved on the server; players resume from the exact position when the platform returns. No matches are forfeit because the server failed.
- Audit log continuity. The RNG seed audit log and the match record audit log are append-only; they are not affected by operational incidents.
What Will Be Visible on This Page (Post-Launch)
When the platform goes live, this page will display:
| Component | Status | Last incident | 30-day uptime |
|---|
| Game server (primary) | (live status) | — | — |
| Bot service | (live status) | — | — |
| Account & rating service | (live status) | — | — |
| Analysis export pipeline | (live status) | — | — |
| Invitation list & marketing site | (live status) | — | — |
Each row will indicate operational (green), degraded (amber), or outage (red), with a click-through to the relevant incident report or maintenance announcement.
Pre-Launch Status
The platform is in active development. There is no production server to report on yet. Invitation-list sign-ups, contact form submissions, and the encyclopedia content are served from standard web infrastructure with the operational disposition appropriate to a marketing site.
The encyclopedia content (this site) is mirrored across multiple CDN edges and has effectively continuous availability. If you cannot reach a specific page, the issue is almost certainly transient and resolves within a few minutes; if it does not, please report through the contact page.
