GG Santos

Juan Santos keeps the jeepneys running from a workshop where half the district's drivers owe him favours and the rest owe him money. The board came from the waiting bench outside and moved indoors decades ago. There is one member he plays differently, carefully, and without ever mentioning why: a man from another country who arranged something for his sister two years ago, at no benefit to himself, and would be embarrassed to have it brought up. He has decided that the debt is real and that it is not settled by losing on purpose, so he gives him a proper game and thanks him for nothing in particular afterwards.
