GG Karim

Zahra Karim has kept the same house in the Karrada district of Baghdad for thirty years, and it has rung with the click of nard pieces for all of them. She raised five children there and feeds half the street from one kitchen. It was her nephews who set her up online, patiently, over one long summer. Across her own table, at the traditional long game, she is unbeatable, and everybody in Karrada knows it. This is not that game. She is perfectly aware that the version she mastered is not the version being played here, that the cube is the whole of the difference, and that nobody is going back. She plays slowly and with total calm, and she has never mentioned any of it to an opponent. The nearest thing to home she has found here is DMP, and she has said nothing about that either.
