GG Giardi

Sofia Giardi practises commercial law in San Marino, where she knows every notary by name and most of their secrets by implication, and runs marathons because the republic is too small for her restlessness. Fourteen so far, one for each year in practice. Nobody in the tier plays longer sessions. She treats an evening the way she treats forty-two kilometres: the individual game is not the point, still being there at the end is, and she will play through a bad hour rather than stop inside one. It costs her, because the reckless cube she throws at game four she is still throwing at game forty. She has never once logged off while behind. She takes the cash tables the same way she takes a marathon: enter, keep moving, worry about the total afterwards.
