GG Haddad

Samer Haddad works in his family's restaurant in Damascus and has played since he was small, the courtyard version that everybody there plays. He is nineteen and he is at the cash tables, where the next youngest player has thirty years on him, and that is precisely why he goes. He is treated as somebody's grandson for about ten minutes and then he is not. He plays the fastest format there is, takes a table's worth of games in an evening, and is unfailingly polite to men who have just lost to him. He never proposes a game and never turns one down. Which table he plays and how long the evening runs are settled by men forty years older, which he has worked out is the quickest way to be handed the seat he wanted without asking.
