GG Nguyen

Minh Nguyen designs river crossings, each one a settled argument between load, span and budget. His father ferried people over the water that his first bridge replaced, a fact both men raise at every family dinner and interpret differently. He has a rule about the cube and keeps it absolutely: nothing before the tenth move, whatever the position has already done. Ten moves, he says, is where a game stops being weather and starts being structure, and a number produced before that is a guess wearing a decimal point. It costs him market equity now and then. He regards the loss as the price of not guessing.
