GG Tran

Long Tran is a retired cyclo driver who pedalled passengers through the chaos of Hanoi's old quarter for forty years and brings all of that fast, fearless energy to the board. His table moves with the weather: through the hot months he plays on the roof with the neighbours' washing lines for company, and the moment the first cold front arrives he shifts the whole game indoors without a word of announcement, as fixed a ritual as the route he used to pedal. He plays at lightning pace, gambling on instinct with a shrug he once saved for a flat tyre, treating a cash game or a chouette exactly the way he treated a fare: get in, go fast, worry later.
