GG Al-Khalifa

Khalifa Al-Khalifa turned professional at cards in his thirties, after a decade in Manama's pearl-trade offices persuaded him he was reading the men across the desk better than the contracts. He believes the discipline came with him. Bankroll, stake selection, session length, all of it intact and all of it genuinely good, and the patience did not make the crossing at all: he doubles two rolls before the position has earned it and his accuracy says so plainly. He has the figures. He reads them as variance. He plays cash between card sessions at a stake he settles weekly with the same four men, wry and composed, giving away nothing at the table and little more away from it.
