GG Gashi

Ilir Gashi drove buses through the Albanian mountains for fifty years, on roads where the outside wheel was a matter of judgement and the drop was not. He committed to a line and stayed on it, because on that road the alternative was worse. He plays exactly the same way, and turns the cube on principle rather than on position. He also has unfinished business. On the original GamesGrid he lost a small fortune to one of the house bots, and he has come back to take it off them. He is eighty-one, he is not a strong player, and none of that has entered into his thinking. He goes straight to the cash tables to do it, and he sits on the house side of the room by choice, because a member who takes his chips is not the one he came back for. The swings there are large enough to matter and the arithmetic is against him by a distance he has never sat down to work out.
