Tatiana Orlova can solve a puzzle cube in under ten seconds, a skill she now demonstrates in schools for a living, and her flat holds three hundred of the things, catalogued. Her tolerance for a drawn-out match is nil. She will not enter one and tells whoever wants to know precisely why: past that point she stops thinking and starts hitting, she knows it, and she would rather lose a short game honestly than a long one stupidly. At the cash tables she will not consult the crew on a cube. Four people talking a single decision over is precisely the slowness she came here to get away from, and she says so to whichever of them starts it. Inside the limit she is the fastest and loudest at the table.
