GG Sokolova

Anastasia Sokolova skated pairs for St Petersburg until twenty, when a partner's injury ended the Olympic arithmetic, and she moved the discipline whole into sport science and this. She still lands a double axel on public rinks, mostly to settle arguments. Her week is set by the last result. Lose on a Sunday and she is at the board every evening after it, more matches, longer sessions, the cube out early and often; win on a Sunday and she barely appears until Thursday. Nobody has convinced her the pattern exists. A bad roll gets what a fall always got, brief fury and then the next element, and a tense position, she notes, is a great deal smaller than a championship free skate.
