GG Grimaldi

Louis Grimaldi has worked the Monte Carlo floor for twenty-six years, croupier to pit to host, and now looks after the guests whose losses get discussed in millions and whose moods are his professional weather. There is a chouette in a room behind the salon. He organises it, sets the stake, decides who is told about it, and then takes his own turn in the box like anybody else, which is the one hour of his working week in which he is not managing somebody. Certain very well-known people are on the list. Cool and controlled in black tie with gold at the cuff, he prices a position before he looks at the dice and sends the cube over as a bet.
