GG Ozols

Kārlis Ozols mixes the massed choirs at the great song festival, one shot every five years, and spends the seasons between on theatre desks and touring bands where the stakes feel restful; his grandmother sang in it and her choir badge is taped inside his console lid. He will not play with anything audible. Not his, not yours: if he can hear a radio behind you he asks, politely and immediately, and he will wait rather than start. It is not superstition. Thirty years of listening for one voice in forty thousand has left him unable to treat sound as background. A member who ignored the request twice found the fixtures simply stopped being accepted, without a word about why.
