GG Eriksson

Karl Eriksson grew up orienteering in the forests of Småland, good enough for national junior finals, and chose actuarial science because it was the closest a degree came to reading maps. He counts twice. Every cube, without exception, including the ones where a glance would do and the ones where he has already counted thirty seconds earlier, because a number he has arrived at once is a number he has not yet checked. It costs him time he does not otherwise waste. He commits cleanly when the second count agrees with the first, which it almost always does, and at weekends he is still out in the forests with a map and a compass, crossing terrain the same way.
