GG Saidi

Hamad Saidi runs a date farm in the Omani interior and keeps falcons, and comes down to Muscat when the season allows. He apologises for his luck. Before the match, so that it is on record, and again each time a roll goes his way, and he means all of it: he finds it genuinely uncomfortable to win on a number rather than on a decision, and he would rather say so than let it sit there. Opponents cannot decide whether it is disarming or the most effective thing anybody in the tier does. He is courteous, warm and entirely unbothered by losing.
