GG Sánchez

Antonio Sánchez routes ambulances across Madrid and has been the steady voice through the city's worst nights for a decade, work that rewards the extra second over the first answer. He brings that pace to the board and will not be hurried off it. The season matters to him for one reason. He and the colleague on the opposite rota hold a standing arrangement about which of them finishes higher, renewed each year, settled with nothing more than the right to bring it up, and he knows the gap between them to the point. He kayaks whitewater on his leave, which his colleagues consider explanatory. He offers the cube rather sooner than his judgement of it deserves.
