GG Aliyev

Rashad Aliyev models reservoirs a mile beneath the sea, forecasting a field's behaviour long before anybody drills it. He grew up overlooking the old derricks and settled on the profession at nine, on a school trip. The board is his family's oldest habit; his grandfather's set carries burn rings from three generations of tea glasses. What he added was measurement, and not only of the position. He times each decision his opponent makes and reports the average afterwards, unprompted, in the same tone he uses for flow rates. He believes this is neutral information. Almost no one has ever received it that way.
