GG Boban

Luka Boban started leaping from the rocks below the walls at nine, turned the habit into a profession, and keeps one ledge back for himself at the end of each working day. Two decades of it have left him with perfect ankles and no detectable fear. Before the diving he spent three winters on the craps tables of the coast hotels, which is where he learned what a number is worth. He will not sit down to play. The laptop goes on a shelf at chest height and he stands for the entire match, weight forward, exactly as he does up there, and he has never been able to explain why it helps.
