GG Hadžić

Adnan Hadžić repairs the clocks nobody else will take, the tower movements and the museum pieces that arrive in boxes marked beyond repair and leave ticking, and his workshop tea is famous for going cold untouched. He will not begin a match at twenty past. The first roll happens on the hour, exactly, and if you arrive at four minutes past he will wait with you for fifty-six, talking pleasantly, and start then. Opponents assume it is a joke until the second time. He has never offered a reason beyond saying that things which start badly tend to continue that way. One member arrived at two minutes past to test it and reports the waiting as the best part of the evening.
