GG Nieminen

Anna Nieminen rowed competitively at university and kept the metronome, and the studio she runs with her sister turns down more work than it takes. A client once settled a very late invoice with a walnut board. The sisters agreed it was acceptable exactly once, and since then every offer of a trade has been refused on principle, including a good camera, a week in somebody's cottage and, last year, a hand-turned set from a member of her own division. She keeps the walnut one on the studio shelf where clients can see it, which she says is the whole point of accepting it. Her sister maintains the whole rule exists to justify keeping the board, and has never had this denied.
