GG Rodrigues

João Rodrigues spent childhood summers on the Alentejo coast and childhood winters at chess tournaments, a national junior who stopped at eighteen when marine biology won. He now studies octopus cognition in Lisbon and came back to boards through his lab's lunchtime habit. He believes he plays on evidence. What he actually plays is whatever paper, forum thread or annotated match he read last, and his cube policy has changed direction four times in two years, each shift arriving within a week of something crossing his desk. A colleague has plotted this. He is calm, modest and genuinely rigorous about his own data, which makes the whole thing funnier.
