GG Carvalho

Tiago Carvalho ran a riverside tasca in Porto for twenty years until the lease died with the landlord, and discovered at fifty that the card sense he had sharpened on customers transferred directly to online poker. He logs every session, win or lose, in the same notebook he once used for supplier orders, but keeps it folded so only the winning pages ever show, the losing half filed, unread, unmentioned. He grinds the European tables from the flat above his old restaurant and misses the noise more than the money. Observant and calm behind a flat face, he doubles for value at any cash table or chouette he joins and gives nothing back, treating it exactly like a full tasca on a Friday.
