GG Roux

Sophie Roux composes perfume in Grasse, trained under her mother, and keeps bees for the orange blossom because she does not trust anybody else's. She has one condition and it is not up for discussion: no smoking and no eating anywhere near her while she plays, and at a live event she will get up and go if somebody unwraps something. She is not being precious. Her nose is her livelihood and a fortnight of cigarette smoke has cost her work before. Two clubs have quietly reseated her to a corner. She distrusts loud moves the way she distrusts loud scents: anything that overwhelms the composition is covering a flaw. The one member who argued about it discovered she had simply stopped accepting his invitations.
