GG Sangrà

Joan Sangrà grew up in Encamp with the Pyrenees outside every window and has raced downhill mountain bikes since he was twelve: national podiums, two broken collarbones, no regrets. He works winters as a lift mechanic and lives for the descending season. He will not play a backgame. Not when he is behind, not when it is the only structure left on the board, and not when an opponent has kindly pointed out that it is, because he plays it forward and he loses it forward, and he has been told what that costs him across a season. He agrees with the arithmetic and does it again the following week. The game arrived at a rain-soaked training camp and suited him at once, because hesitation on a descent is the only thing that has ever actually hurt him.
