GG Sharipova

Madina Sharipova read probability at Dushanbe's technical university, applied it to a statistics degree and then, to her family's lasting bewilderment, to online poker, where she has earned a living for seven years. She plays this in the gaps. The two hours after the European traffic thins and before anything else is worth sitting down for, four mornings a week, which means her opponents are whoever else is awake in the wrong part of the day. She plays cash here as well, small and steady, and treats the size as a discipline rather than a limit. Poker-faced and quick, she works the cube like a card table and walks the same loop along the river to close the day.
