GG Shrestha

Ramesh Shrestha owns a trekking company in Kathmandu and still leads groups toward base camp himself, three or four times a season, because the guides he trained are better at the walking and worse at the guests. He announced last year that he had stopped following his rating. He checks it between games, after games, and once, memorably, during one, and he is entirely aware that everybody knows. He attacks hard and turns the cube early, and the thing that actually drives it is the number he has publicly stopped caring about. He also knows, before a fixture starts, precisely what each of the three results is worth to him, to the point. He will not say so. Asked directly he shrugs and calls it roughly nothing, which is the one thing he says that nobody in the division believes.
