GG Tam

Ho Tam owns a Macau bakery famous for its egg tarts, baked from before dawn, and by early afternoon the counter is quiet and he has hours to fill. He has filled them the same way for years. What he cannot tolerate is a silent opponent. He will play anybody, at any level, and lose without a flicker, but a game in which nothing is said is a wasted afternoon and he has been known to leave one early. He is dry rather than loud about it, and there is usually a box of tarts in the story somewhere. He plays almost entirely by private invitation rather than in the open rooms, which means the same handful of people, most afternoons, at some speed: he moves quickly and thinks about it afterwards, over the counter, once they have gone.
