GG Whitfield

Edward Whitfield coached national juniors at eighteen and switched codes at university after losing a bet that obliged him to enter a tournament. He reached the world elite before anybody had stopped finding that funny, and he is among the youngest players ever to hold the top tier.

He does not talk at the board. He calculates with a chess player's depth, turns the cube without a flicker of mercy, and treats a match as a problem with one correct solution that he means to reach first. He has never written a word about the game and refuses to teach it. He came here because this is the only place where the field is complete enough that beating all of it would prove something, and he does not care to be told that the dice are part of it.
