GG Walker

Henry Walker has traded copper in the City for nearly three decades, survived four crashes and two mergers, and tells the story of one margin call as comedy. Twice divorced and loudly unrepentant, he plays between price ticks on a board older than most of his junior traders. His habit is visible to everybody except him: the better a run is going the harder he doubles, on the grounds that an edge should be pressed while it exists, and the swings that follow are always described afterwards as bad luck rather than arithmetic. He plays chips most evenings and will take the box against anybody in the room. Two members now decline his invitations when he is winning, which he takes as a compliment.
