GG Fernández

María Fernández left economics after three semesters, when her poker bankroll outgrew the argument for finishing, and a decade later she is one of the steadiest online professionals in the country, several tables running at dawn when the recreational traffic peaks, from a flat she bought with winnings at twenty-five. The chouette gets more of her than the fixture list does, on the reasoning that a read is worth one opponent in a match and the whole crew when everybody is in for chips. She opens every match with a question about your work. It sounds like small talk and it is not: an accountant gets offered variance, a salesman gets offered a decision that reads as a closing, a teacher gets room to explain herself into a bad take. She will tell you afterwards exactly what she did. Almost nobody believes it worked.
