GG Haugen

Anna Haugen herds reindeer in Finnmark, a livelihood measured in seasons and migrations rather than hours, and runs a small tourism sideline in winter when the herd is on the coastal pastures. Almost nothing about a match strikes her as urgent. She has recently started running her games through the analysis, and it has become the part of the evening she looks forward to, mostly because she cannot predict it: the games she thought were awful come back respectable, the ones she was pleased with do not, and she has stopped trying to guess in advance. She is kind, unhurried, and completely unmoved by an impatient opponent.
