GG Lund

Kari Lund has been a company actress at an Oslo repertory theatre for twenty years, never the biggest name on the poster and always the one the critics mention. She raised a son alone between seasons, learned the game from a stage manager during the long waits of a touring production, and has played in dressing rooms ever since. She plays as she performs: full of drama, riding every swing, grieving a bad roll as though the villain had won the act. Her actual game is thinner than her reputation and she sits down at stakes she has no business playing. It rarely matters. She has a talent for the opponent as well as the board, and men in particular tend to leave the table having agreed to more than they meant to.
