GG Pratama

Andi Pratama is a retired gamelan-maker who tuned the great bronze gongs and metallophones of the traditional orchestra entirely by ear for fifty years and brings a craftsman's deep silence to the board. He never sends a word during play, but the instant a match ends, win or lose, he types the same short message, unchanged for years, and closes the chat before any reply can arrive. Nobody has worked out whether it is a blessing, a proverb, or simply a habit he no longer notices himself repeating. He plays a still, structural, near-wordless game, exact and inscrutable, committing each move with the same patient care he gave to tuning a single gong, self-contained and inward, shaped by a craft of listening and silence.
