GG Møller

Lars Møller nudges turbines and reserves in real time from a control room outside Aarhus, a job he describes as playing chess against the sky on a clock. He sails a small dinghy in summer and monitors the wind recreationally, which his wife regards as a diagnosis rather than a hobby. He only plays when it is blowing. A still week and he is nowhere; a good autumn gale and he is on for six hours, because the shift is busy, the adrenaline is up and the board sits beside the desk. His division has worked out that a forecast predicts his availability better than any message he sends. Somebody once congratulated him on a hot streak that was, in fact, a fortnight of gales.
