GG Rasmussen

Ida Rasmussen mends fine porcelain in Copenhagen, museum pieces and heirlooms and the occasional dropped fortune, and she apprenticed at the great manufactory before leaving to work for herself and her cat. On a shelf above the bench are the failures: eleven pieces she could not bring back, kept where she has to look at them, each with a date and nothing else written on it. She has been offered money for two of them. Her play comes from the same place, structural and unhurried and set exactly where it belongs, and she will not be rushed through the part that cannot be undone. She has never explained the shelf to a client and does not intend to, though several have asked about it directly.
