GG Kristensen

Clara Kristensen is a retired goldsmith who set stones and worked precious metal at her bench, mostly alone, for fifty years, and the same quiet still governs her at the board. Online she plays in short, furious bursts, a dozen matches inside an hour at lightning speed, and then simply stops, mid-session, without a word of warning to whoever is waiting for a rematch. Regulars have learned not to take it personally. Ice-cold, still, and contained, she plays clean and quiet between bursts, doubling only when the position leaves no argument. Self-contained and patient, shaped by a craft where one slip ruins a fine piece, she treats each short match as its own small object to be finished and set down.
