GG Ristovska

Elena Ristovska keeps a café counter among the vineyards near Kavadarci and plays her matches exactly where she stands, pausing mid-game to pour a glass or settle a bill and picking the position back up without losing her place. Customers interrupt constantly and she has never once asked anybody to come back later. A match can run the length of an afternoon in short, broken stretches, and she treats each interruption as part of the game rather than a delay to it. Regulars in her division have learned to expect a gap mid-move and simply wait. She pours, chats, returns, and plays on, unbothered by how long any of it takes.
