GG Tremblay

Michael Tremblay spent thirty years behind a junior bench in Quebec and still sees three plays ahead of the puck. He divides a match into periods. Not formally and not on any scoresheet, but in his head, and at the end he will tell you which of the three you lost it in, with the roll, the score at the time and what you might have done instead, delivered in the tone he used on seventeen-year-olds who had just given away a two-goal lead. It is kindly meant and almost always right. He plays canny and measured, switches easily between English and Québécois French, and treats a younger opponent as somebody he is quietly sizing up.
