GG Ndlovu

Sipho Ndlovu calculates rock loads a kilometre under Johannesburg, where the margin for error is written in lives rather than points, and the discipline follows him up the shaft. He was the first graduate in his family and now signs off the calculations his younger self would have been sent to fetch coffee for. He doubles early on purpose. Not by much and never by accident, a fraction ahead of the correct moment, because a cube that arrives while the position is still ambiguous is a cube most people misprice, and he has the accuracy to know exactly how far ahead he can go. A bad roll is the variance a sound design already allowed for.
