GG Tannous

Yara Tannous studied graphic design and freelanced through Beirut's blackout years, invoicing by generator light, until online poker outgrew the design work entirely. She still keeps one client out of loyalty. Backgammon is her inheritance rather than her discovery: her aunts play viciously every Sunday, and she was schooled at that table from the age of nine. She insists, often unprompted, that treating the cube as nothing more than a bet has made her immune to tilt, a claim her aunts have been quietly disputing for years without ever quite winning the argument. Cool and observant, she plays the player, turning the cube at the club's cash tables like a well-timed raise and reading a hesitation the way she reads a bluff.
