GG Novák

Jan Novák builds warehouse robots in Brno and was a national junior chess player until engineering school rearranged his priorities; the chessboard now lives in the office as a debugging aid. Every error gets a category. Cube timing, race count, priming error, tempo, and four others he has added since, each one logged with the position and the date, and on the first of every month he goes through the whole thing the way he goes through a maintenance record and reports the trend to nobody. His wife schedules around it. He works with a chess player's depth and a clean sense of equity, doubles on calculation, and debugs a loss the way he debugs a machine.
